Big Dog Steel is proud to unveil the Prometheus Wind Professor — a precision, range-ready target built specifically to train and test long-range wind-reading skills.

Purpose-built for wind calls

Designed by Cole (the inventor behind the Prometheus Powder Measure), the Wind Professor gives shooters immediate, measurable feedback on wind-call accuracy. Pick a spinner, make your call, and the spinner’s rotation tells you whether you were right — and by how much. Each click equals one-tenth of a milliradian, so you’ll know exactly how many 1/10 mils you were off.

Rugged, precise construction

• 11 individual spinners, each welded to heavy-wall DOM tube for rock-solid mounting.

• Spinner material: 1/2″ thick AR500 steel — heavy duty and made to last.

• True resolution: Each spinner measures 0.1 mil wide at 500 yards, giving finely grained feedback for serious shooters.

• Shooter-friendly: Spinners will react to as little as a .223, yet the entire assembly is stout enough to handle magnum calibers.

Setup & portability

• Frame accepts 4′ lengths of 1/2″ rebar for legs (rebar not included to save on shipping — available at any hardware store).

• Easy to assemble in the field and rugged enough for regular use and competition practice.
