Big Dog Steel proudly introduces the Precision Rifle Target — a purpose‑built, range‑ready target engineered for realistic precision training and built to take serious abuse.

Precision feedback where it counts

This target is designed to teach real shot placement. The head contains a vertical “T” zone flapper that flips up when struck and stays visible until you shoot it back down. The chest features a lateral heart flapper mounted on a heavy‑duty spring so it moves side‑to‑side and resists rebound from .308‑class rifles. Those two distinct, repeatable reactions give immediate, unambiguous feedback for wind calls, follow‑ups, and precision hits.

Built to last — serviceable construction

• Flappers: CNC cut from premium 1/2″ steel for durability and a crisp visual flash.

• Hinges: CNC cut from 3/8″ premium steel for strength where it matters.

• Hardware: All hinge bolts are 5/8″ Grade 8, providing heavy‑duty retention and long life.

• Bolted (not welded): Every major component bolts together — no welded assemblies that create heat‑affected weak points. If a part is damaged, you replace the part, not the whole target.

Realistic sizing and training value

• The “T” zone is positioned and sized to mirror the average human head; the heart flapper is likewise placed to match torso anatomy. This makes the target significantly more useful for realistic precision training than standard IPSC silhouettes.

• Combined vertical head movement and lateral chest movement forces shooters to quickly acquire new aiming points and practice repeatable precision under dynamic conditions.

Mounting & portability

• Includes a custom heavy‑duty 4×4 post bracket made specifically for the Precision Rifle Target.

• Portable “H” bases are available for temporary setups or transportable ranges.
